Built with uncompromising quality and strength, the Viking 43 is designed for cruising and is a very comfortable live-aboard. The beautiful salon is entered from the largest aft deck in the cruising market. Down three steps, there is a custom built L shaped sofa with massive storage under the cushions. The salon is replete with the professionally constructed custom solid teak cabinetry.
The master stateroom features a queen size island bed with mood lighting above and below the bed. A full-size over/under Washer Dryer duo makes laundry a breeze. The ensuite head features a very large stand-up shower. The closets, one shelved and one full hang up, are cedar lined. There is ample drawer storage.
In the step down galley, a large convertible teak dinette (seats six) is easily converted to a full size bed. The galley and guest head flooring has been upgraded to deep cherry hardwood.
The galley features a 10 cubic foot refrigerator, black porcelain sink, three burner electric cook top and a microwave oven.
Forward is the guest suite, which is easily the largest guest suite on any boat of this size. The vee-bunks with a removable filler complete a queen size bed, while allowing for ample stand up room in the stateroom. There are two swiveling captain's chairs and two bench seats forward of the helm. The bridge easily accommodates 8-10 people for entertaining.
The aft fiberglass covered deck features more of the beautiful custom teak cabinetry that is so abundant on the interior. Enclosed in this cabinetry is a second refrigerator/freezer. The bow and side rails are stainless. The swim platform is integrated fiberglass and teak giving it a very classy look.
She is powered by simple and reliable 454 Crusaders. The port engine has 500 hours since complete overhaul and the starboard has 600 hours. Viking uniquely built the engine package with the same mounts and exhaust for both gas and diesel, allowing for easy conversion to diesels. Another interesting feature of Viking is their application of steel I-beam engine mounts. The engines have been converted to electronic ignition providing greater reliability and fuel economy.
The generator is an 8 KW Onan 1600 which provides additional safety due to separate fuel systems.
