Recruitment is underway for a strong, experienced Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse to work PRN in Cardio Pulmonary Rehab.
The Cardiopulmonary Rehab RN is responsible for the direct and indirect care of their patient assignment and for working collaboratively with assigned staff. The RN provides patient/disease specific education to the cardiopulmonary patient for promoting risk factor modification and behavior change. Follows hospital policies and procedures.
•Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the departmental scope of service.
•Assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the cardiopulmonary patients during their rehabilitation.
•Evaluates new and current patients in regard to their current health status.
•Provides patient education specific to cardiopulmonary disease process, risk factor modification and promoting behavior change.
•Monitors patients on the EKG monitor during their exercise sessions.
•Assists with maintenance and cleaning of exercise equipment, scheduling, billing, mailing and other office tasks as needed.
