Job Description

Job Summary:

Assists with cardiovascular procedures to analyze, diagnose and treat the cardiovascular system.


  • Prepares patients for procedures. Reviews medical history, positions patients and cleans/shaves/numbs testing sites as appropriate.
  • Interprets, describes and reports test results; recognizes recording errors and artifacts and reacts appropriately.
  • Monitors patient prior to, during and after procedures and promptly reports any abnormal findings in patient's condition.
  • Prepares and maintains equipment, supplies and lab area.
  • Assists and engages with the physician in performing and/or facilitating all diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
  • Maintains quality post procedural site care and monitors for any untoward signs of complications.
  • Performs, operates and/or facilitates all adjunctive therapies and equipment that is used in diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedure, monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as needed.
  • Prepares and positions patients who are undergoing a diagnostic, therapeutic and/or interventional procedure performed in the cardiac suite. To also include hemodynamic monitoring.



  • Required Credential(s):
    • One or more of the following:
      • Certified Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
      • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Certified Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.


  • Technical School
    • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program required
    • Associate degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • Will consider new graduates.
