Summary As a member of U2Cloud’s Technology team, you will be responsible for design and implementation of Application Delivery, Desktop Engineering, and Citrix systems administration. You will provide technical leadership and operational support to peers within the Technology Dept. Work will entail upgrade implementations, project tasks for systems/network expansion, support, and monitoring systems. Lead system design and performance evaluation efforts and will direct/lead projects within our team. Administration of U2Clouds’ production infrastructure including the installation, configuration, implementation and administration of all hardware, software and services required to support the organization and its’ clientele. Responsibilities include: Design, Support & Maintain virtualized infrastructure including hypervisors, desktop & server OS, Application Delivery, Desktop Engineering, and Citrix systems administration. Desktop and Server OS, Citrix, applications-related administration, perimeter device administration, virtualization technologies, systems monitoring/management both on-premise and in Azure. Implementing and supporting various hypervisors including XenServer, and VMware. Ensure ongoing operation of systems/applications through troubleshooting, scheduling/monitoring jobs and technology-related business processes, and third-level end-user support as needed. Deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of server and desktop systems through administrative, preventive, detective, and reactive controls, such as change and configuration management, anti-virus measures, patch management, and system scans. Performance tuning, capacity planning, and performance reporting on all platforms. Audit Anti-Virus logs, definitions and profile scanning. Assist in customer onboarding requests, service monitoring and overall system uptime Share knowledge, mentor, and educate the organization’s staff and partners, with regard to the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges. Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner. Document technology solutions, including Visio diagrams, proposals, and other relevant documents as required JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience with XenDesktop 7.x Thorough understanding of both MCS and PVS Working knowledge of how to deploy master images in both MCS and PVS VMware knowledge working with snapshots and how they pertain to Citrix Experience with Citrix catalogs and delivery groups Experience with NetScaler preferred Familiar with hypervisor technologies such as VMware and Hyper—V Solid troubleshooting & communication skills Regular contact with internal and external customers and contractor representatives. May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must have US Citizenship DESIRED SKILLS: Certified Citrix Engineer in XenDesktop Certified Citrix Engineer in Netscaler Certified Citrix Engineer in XenApp VMWare platform background Strong Windows background Experience with Application Firewalls, Software Defined Storage & Software Defined Networking a plus. Good understanding of network engineering and security principles (eg, protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS or equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting various hypervisors. 3+ years’ experience with related server and desktop virtualization (VDI) technologies 3+ years of progressive hands-on experience with Citrix technologies (eg, XenApp, Netscaler, PVS, XenDesktop) in an enterprise network environment, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Citrix-based application delivery principles and practices 3+ years of progressive hands-on experience with Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server in an enterprise network environment, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Microsoft-based system principles and practices Microsoft and/or Citrix certifications required Strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 70 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside on office environment. Travel maybe required from time-to-time.
