Overview: The Sales Tax Analyst will work within the Tax Department to provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial data to assist in revenue reporting and apportionment, preparation of US state sales and use tax and foreign VAT/GST tax returns and related workpapers. Assist in Audits and major software system implementations. Key Responsibilities: Support the Sales Tax Director in the preparation of consolidated and separate entity reporting and analysis of billing and purchasing data for tax return preparation and tax audits. Assist the Tax Department with ongoing implementation, maintenance and support of sales tax system. Prepare, review and file various state and foreign indirect tax returns. Perform various tax related research, as needed. Review operating expenses and capital expenditures for use tax reporting. Miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by Management. Requirements: Undergraduate Accounting or Finance degree Previous job related experience (1-3 years) preferred, but not required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and with tight deadlines. Ability to analyze large amounts of information and present findings. Strong communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills. Self-starter with strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple open deliverables at once. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
