Wounded Warrior ProjectA?s (WWP) Accounting Specialist performs a variety of professional accounting work with emphasis in technical tasks related to employee expense reimbursement, employee credit card program administration and payroll related tasks. Receive and review monthly credit card expense reports against the statement to ensure all charges have been correctly reportedPerform internal credit card administrative functionsServe as liaison with SunTrust on credit card administrative issuesEnsure account coding and approval of expense reports has been obtained from appropriate department supervisor in accordance with guidelinesReview and process employee expense reports for paymentAssist employees with reimbursement policy questionsSet up new vendors and maintain vendor databaseProvide support to payroll specialist and payroll managerAdvise management of employees hired within new tax jurisdictionsWork with Human Resources and Accounting on employee expense report related issuesMaintain accurate and confidential payroll records and employee filesMaintain all Workers Compensation reporting and file appropriate reports with self: insured statesAssist with unemployment claims administration and verifications of employmentPrepare various ad hoc payroll, expense report and credit card reportsAssist in audit proceduresParticipate in continuous process improvementOther related duties, as assignedExcellent customer service skills, as this position will interface with internal customersHighly motivated, passionate, and creative team player with demonstrated commitment to the organizationDemonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team environment with ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature and flexible mannerExcellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely mannerAble to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environmentMust possess a professional presence and demeanorMust possess excellent oral communication skillsAble to troubleshoot, identify viable options, and problem solveAbility to take initiative, multi:task, work independently, and work well under pressureProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointAssociateA?s degree required, BachelorA?s degree in business, accounting, or finance preferredGreat Plains Experience is desirableWorkday Experience is desirableNA
